The Skier’s Breakfast Burrito — Beaumont Bakery Recipes & Tips

On my SLC breakfast tour I’m prioritizing mostly newer spots, but there are a few places I’ve visited before that still feel fresh enough to include. One of those staples is Beaumont. I recently picked up a breakfast burrito there and knew it deserved a spot on the list.

I love Beaumont for two main reasons: convenience and freshness. If you spend time in the mountains along the Wasatch Front, Beaumont is one of the best places to fuel up before heading out. I often grab a breakfast burrito on the way up the canyon before a big ski day. The drive-through makes it fast and accessible without sacrificing quality. While I enjoy drive-through burritos from other Mexican spots, they can sometimes be overly greasy and leave me feeling sluggish when I’m about to be active. Beaumont strikes a better balance.

The Beaumont breakfast burrito is packed with fresh eggs, bacon, avocado, roasted corn, and bell peppers. What elevates it is the sauce—the creamy tomatillo escabeche dressing that ties all the flavors together. A great burrito always benefits from a standout sauce, and this one delivers.

Located between 3900 and 4500 South on Wasatch Boulevard, Beaumont offers much more than breakfast burritos. Their coffee and pastries are excellent, and the burrata salad is a favorite if you’re stopping in for lunch. The cafe is consistent and reliable, whether you want a quick drive-through pickup or a relaxed sit-down visit.

A quick note about timing: good food draws a crowd, and Beaumont is no exception. On weekends you’ll often see people gathered outside. If you only need coffee and pastries, don’t be deterred—you can usually run in or use the drive-through quickly. If you plan to sit and linger, especially on weekends, expect a short wait. The patio and interior are both attractive, which makes it worth the visit.

Beaumont remains one of my go-to spots for a filling, fresh breakfast before heading into the mountains. Whether you choose the burrito, pastries, or a coffee and salad, it’s a dependable choice for a tasty start to the day.
