About a month ago I learned a site had over 18,000 people waiting for Rosé gummy bears. Sounds tempting, but why wait when you can make them at home?
I love Rosé, but I decided not to stop there. I made wine gummy bears in red, white, and Rosé—three lovely variations with simple ingredients and a fun result.

You may be surprised at how easy it is to make wine gummy bears. All you need are gummy bear molds, powdered gelatin, sugar, and a cup of your favorite wine.
If you want to retain alcohol in the gummies, keep the mixture under 160°F (roughly 71°C) while heating. A candy thermometer helps ensure you don’t exceed that temperature.

The result is surprisingly tasty. I preferred the red wine gummy bears, while a friend favored the Rosé. For the white version, you could experiment by blending a sweeter wine like Moscato with a splash of fruit juice for extra flavor.

Champagne gummy bears would also be a fun idea for New Year’s—bright and bubbly in miniature form.
I hope you enjoy this wine gummy bear recipe as much as we did.

Wine Gummy Bears Recipe (Red, White, & Rosé)

Ingredients
- 1 Cup Wine (red, white, or Rosé)
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons powdered gelatin
- 1 drop pink food coloring, if making Rosé gummy bears
- 2–3 gummy bear molds
Instructions
- Combine the wine, sugar, and powdered gelatin in a saucepan over medium‑low heat. If you want to keep alcohol in the mixture, keep the temperature under 160°F (71°C). Whisk continuously for 2–3 minutes until the sugar and gelatin dissolve. Stir in pink food coloring if making Rosé.
- Pour the warm mixture into gummy bear molds using a glass measuring cup with a spout for control. Use an offset spatula to remove excess from the mold surface and ensure cavities are filled.
- Refrigerate the molds for at least 90 minutes, or until the gelatin is fully set.
- Gently pop the gummy bears from the molds when set.
- Store uneaten gummy bears in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Makes about 125 gummy bears, depending on mold size.
