You can use any vanilla yogurt you prefer, but if you haven’t tried Wallaby Organic Greek Vanilla Bean yogurt, give it a try. Its mellow, creamy texture—almost whipped—makes the parfait especially smooth and flavorful.

Layered with fresh fruit and granola, this parfait makes a quick, attractive breakfast or a light dessert that hits the right notes of creaminess, fruit brightness and crunch.

Helpful tips

  • Use your preferred vanilla yogurt. Full‑fat Greek yogurt gives a thick, creamy layer; regular vanilla yogurt will be thinner and make the fruit and granola stand out more.
  • Choose a mild granola so it doesn’t overpower the fruit—vanilla or light-flavored granola works well.
  • Substitute fruit based on season or taste: raspberries, blueberries, peaches or mango are all great alternatives.
  • Homemade granola is a fine option if you prefer to control sweetness and texture.
  • Bananas, nuts, shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips, peanut butter, maple syrup, honey and chia seeds are all delicious additions.
  • Wash fruit thoroughly—even organic fruit—and pit cherries before layering.
  • Two layers of ingredients usually look and taste balanced; for three layers, keep each layer thinner.
  • Serve in clear glassware to highlight the layers—presentation makes the parfait more appealing.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups vanilla bean Greek yogurt (Wallaby Organic or similar) (about 1/2 cup per layer in two servings)
  • 12 cherries washed, pitted and halved
  • 6 strawberries washed and sliced lengthwise
  • 3/4 cup granola mild-flavored, roughly measured

Instructions

  • Spoon yogurt into the glasses to form the first layer.
  • Layer cherries, sliced strawberries and granola over the yogurt.
  • Add another spoonful of yogurt over the granola.
  • Repeat with a second layer of cherries, strawberries and granola.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Quantities are approximate. The recipe is forgiving—dollop yogurt and layer to your preference. I typically use close to one cup of yogurt per parfait when making two servings.

Tips:

  • Use organic fruit and granola when possible for better flavor.
  • Two layers create a balanced parfait; for three layers, make each layer thinner.
  • Always wash fruit thoroughly, even if it’s organic.
  • Choose a mild granola so it complements the fruit and yogurt.
  • Serve in an appealing glass to showcase the layers.
