Baked Turkey and Cheese Rolls
These rolls are ideal for Super Bowl parties, tailgates, holiday gatherings like Thanksgiving or Christmas, or simply as an easy snack. Kids and adults alike love them, and the kitchen fills with irresistible aroma while they bake—plan for hungry guests once they come out of the oven.

Ingredients:
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough sheet (the unseparated sheet)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic (or garlic powder)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup bacon bits (fresh cooked bacon or pre-made bits)
- 8 slices Colby Jack or your preferred sliced cheese
- About 7 slices turkey (leftover or deli-sliced); other proteins can be used

Recipe
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Unroll the crescent roll sheet and, on parchment paper or a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll it to roughly a 9×13-inch rectangle. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and stir in the minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Brush or drizzle this garlic butter evenly over the dough.

Starting about 1/2 inch from the bottom edge, lay the slices of cheese across the dough in two stacked strips to form two roll sections, leaving the top third of the dough clear. Sprinkle the bacon bits evenly over the cheese, then layer the turkey slices to cover the cheese and bacon, overlapping as needed.

From the bottom edge, roll the dough tightly upward to enclose the filling. Pull the top third of dough down over the seam— the garlic butter will help seal it. Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into 10 equal rounds and place them, cut-side down, in a greased casserole dish or baking pan.

Roll Up Instructions
Optional: brush the tops with additional melted garlic butter, a light egg wash, or a little oil to promote browning. Bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes, until the dough is puffed and golden brown on top. Let the rolls cool slightly before serving.

These disappear quickly at gatherings, so consider doubling the recipe for parties. Serve warm with your favorite dips or sauces.
