This post is long overdue. We’ve been living in our new condo for two months, and I’m finally sharing the kitchen where all the magic happens. I can’t believe I waited this long to show it to you.
Preston and I are thrilled with our new place. We’re right downtown, so we enjoy long walks by the river, try new restaurants more often, walk to our gym, and watch Boise’s sunrises and sunsets from the couch. The farmer’s market is visible from our living room, and we can hear Alive After Five’s live music on Wednesday evenings. Weekends bring fun runs and relaxed afternoons on the patio grilling Paleo-friendly meals. Moving here was the right choice for us, and we feel incredibly fortunate.

The kitchen is one of my favorite rooms. It’s open, modern, practical, and welcoming. Guests naturally gather in the kitchen when they visit, so we designed it to be a fun, social space. Compared to our last home, this kitchen has far more natural light, a lovely view, increased storage (which is huge for me), better appliances, and a layout that’s easier to work in.
As a food blogger and avid cook, this upgrade has been a game changer. I find myself inviting people over more often, giving me excuses to use the space and try new recipes. While many people might resent the extra cleanup, I genuinely enjoy it — hosting and cooking feel effortless and rewarding to me. I’m excited to ramp up my recipe creation and post more regularly. I’ve been a bit MIA lately and miss giving the blog attention, so expect new recipes soon. I’ve missed you all.
